Noah! Noah! Noah! Whoo!
Very unlikely this will ever see the light of day as a legitimate Bob Seger System release in the current compact disc/digital/vinyl revival world. Capitolm Seger producer Punch Andrews or even Bob himself brought in Tom Neme to add some excitement to the band. Plan backfires! Seger quits while Neme attempts to takes over the band! Neme singing leads on one side of this album, while Bob seems uninterested in a majority of the material that he didn’t write. Why is Bob even of the cover of this one?
“Noah” is not a bad song, just an odd one for Bob. “Cat” is a psyched out jam; check out these lyrics: Daughter, daughter, don’t do that, don’t do that
But daddy, I said don’t do that, alright
Little cat, all alone, somewhere in the midwest
Where’d you go, who’ll you be,
Maybe you’ll turn out to be the best
Who knows, who knows, come on, yeah yeah
Cat cat cat cat
es you’re quite alone, how do you feel
I’m so glad, look in the bed
Take it easy, everything will be just fine
You don’t seem to be afraid
That’s wonderful
No I have no hangups
I have no hangups
How about you
You like to do it
Nothing wrong with that
What do you mean you hate your mother
Oh well come on little more a little more
Can I, please
Be my cat…
Cat cat oh oh ahhh
[then it sounds like Bob is fucking or killing Cat!]
If the Seger retospective box set is ever released, maybe a few songs will surface as oddities. Or maybe the Ace label out of the UK will find some way to reissue this.
Value: $50, for the Capitol vinyl LP on the lime green label. $20 for the 8-track
